Before bringing AI into offices, I worked in them.
I'm Michaela Beccari. I've always liked numbers, and for almost twenty years I kept them in order alongside business owners, across administration, bookkeeping, HR and management accounting. Since November 2023, with Micha Marketing, I've been bringing AI agents and automation to small and medium-sized businesses.
Almost twenty years on the other side of the desk.
I started in administration in 2005 and never really left the numbers behind: bookkeeping, HR, production control, invoicing. I worked hand in hand with owners, in different companies, sometimes looking after two at once. If something in the office didn't add up, it was down to me to sort it out, often well into the evening.
From that desk I saw something I've never forgotten. The owner of a small business does everything: selling, production, problem-solving. Admin comes last, not because it doesn't matter, but because the day has run out. I've seen businesses run by capable people close partly for this reason: the numbers were there, but nobody had the time to look at them.
How I came to AI.
I've always automated, with whatever I had to hand: complex formulas, macros, Excel scripts. They worked, until one detail out of place was enough to bring everything else down. The idea was right; the tools weren't there.
AI brought them, and those half-solutions became something that genuinely holds up. In November 2023 I set up Micha Marketing in Montaldo Torinese, near Turin, with a clear aim: to give the business owners I'd worked alongside, and others like them, the time they never had. Today AI can take on the repetitive side of office work, and the people running a business can go back to looking at their numbers instead of chasing them.
Why knowing offices makes the difference.
Plenty of people know AI tools. Knowing how an admin office works, where errors creep in and which checks can't be skipped is another matter.
Those years also left me with a rule: in administration there's no such thing as absolute certainty, and an extra check is never wasted time. That's why decisions that matter always go through a person. And that's why I'll tell you frankly what's worth automating today and what, for now, is just hype.
